This book called The Toolbox for Building a Great Family Dog is my favorite for people who have just got a puppy or new dog.  I recommend this to ALL my puppy parents!

The Culture Clash is a good book to help you understand dog behavior!

Click to Calm is geared toward aggressive dogs.  It uses clicker training as part of a training tool to help dogs learn to be calm. To help communicate scary and bad things into pleasant tolerable things.
